I have always been astonished by how people can create beautiful and functional notes on iPads. The real benefit of visual notes lies in their ability to reinforce learning, encourage creativity, and help in encoding and decoding large amounts of text. They push students to think critically and creatively while encoding their notes. As both a teacher and a learner, I am continually amazed by the advantages visual note-taking can bring to the classroom. When I first explored workshops and books on this topic, I found the abundance of jargon and detailed instructions intimidating. My initial thought was, "I'm not an artist; I might not be able to do this." However, I couldn't let this idea die. The potential benefits gave me hope, so I pursued it further and discovered that it's actually quite an easy task. I realized that people often overcomplicate it unnecessarily. This session is designed for our school teachers and students to share the simplicity and effectiveness of visual note-taking. We've already seen great results using Freeform, and I am excited to demonstrate how note-taking can transform learning and help students express themselves.

This session centers on the vibrant cultural heritage of batik and explores how spatial computing technologies—specifically augmented reality (AR) can bring traditional art forms to life. Participants will witness the revolutionary potential of AR as it breathes new life into the iconic "Motif Lapan," a prominent motif in Malaysian batik. Through real-world examples and live demonstrations, attendees will explore how AR can enhance storytelling, create interactive learning environments, and personalize educational experiences for diverse learners. This session will provide educators with actionable insights on leveraging Apple’s spatial computing capabilities to not only preserve but also celebrate cultural heritage in the classroom. Podcasting and vlogging continue to be powerful ways to provide students with opportunities to engage their voice and creativity. This session will provide educators with ideas of for using podcasting in their lessons from how to organize a project to what tools to use to produce the episodes. The specific tools supported will be GarageBand and iMovie.

My session will explore how digital activities facilitate an enquiry curriculum in the primary setting. I will focus on using the iPad and the Apple suite of apps to promote metacognition, pupil independence and creativity using a range of lesson activity ideas and templates to share.

This workshop will equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to create engaging podcasts as a creative outlet for themselves, as well as their students. Participants will delve into the fundamentals of podcasting, including equipment setup, recording techniques, editing software, and effective distribution strategies. We'll explore creative podcasting ideas to help teachers share their unique perspectives, connect with their students, and foster a love of learning. By the end of the workshop, teachers will have the confidence and skills to launch their own podcasts and contribute to the vibrant world of educational media.

The "AR Creation and Modeling: Empowering Learners with Immersive Learning" workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of augmented reality (AR) and its educational benefits. Attendees will receive hands-on training with Reality Composer, learning to create engaging AR projects by integrating 3D models, animations, and interactive elements. The workshop emphasizes practical applications of AR in various subjects, offering tips for effective design for teaching and learning. By the end, participants will be equipped with the skills to develop immersive, interactive learning experiences, enhancing educational environments through innovative AR technology.

We will explore the concept of empowering creativity in your classroom using 2D and 3D design. Classroom: Providing teachers with screen control capabilities to enhance classroom management during iPad-based activities. Pages: Facilitating weekly journaling and progress tracking, offering a digital record for planning and rehearsal insights. Through detailed insights and live demonstrations, participants will gain practical ideas for integrating these apps and innovative iPad Music Band lesson plans into their own classrooms. The proposed session, Get "Kreative" with Keynote, is a hands-on workshop designed to empower educators in using Keynote as a tool to create customized templates for assessments and learning activities. Participants will learn how to develop interactive, visually engaging templates that can enhance both teaching and student engagement. The session will also focus on integrating visible thinking routines into Keynote, which will encourage deeper student reflection and promote critical thinking skills in the classroom. This practical, step-by-step session will guide educators in exploring Keynote’s features like magic move, animation, and live video to create templates that can be adapted to their specific teaching needs. By the end of the session, participants will have a set of ready-to-use templates and innovative ideas that can be immediately implemented in their classrooms, supporting the broader goal of enhancing digital teaching practices.

Having transitioned from being an Early Years teacher to a Computing Lead, I've seen firsthand the remarkable impact of integrating technology into early learning. In this session, I'm excited to showcase examples of simplified 'Everyone Can Create' projects that can enhance the learning experiences for young learners. Technology can significantly impact various areas of learning such as oracy, and tools like Keynote are especially versatile, opening up new realms of educational possibilities and creativity.

In this workshop, participants will be invited to think outside the box when using chroma key in lessons. We will go beyond simple background substitution and get creative by combining tools within apps such as Keynote and iMovie. Practical examples of innovative greenscreen use across an elementary school curriculum will be explored and then we will get creative with a hands-on workshop. Participants will be guided through the process of creating a ‘Magic Box’ project (based on the poem by Kit Wright) by using the chroma key function within iMovie. The final outcome will be a video of a magic box which has different compartments. When each compartment is opened, a different video, with corresponding sound effects, will play. Participants will need to bring iPads to the session with the latest versions of iMovie and Keynote installed.

The session focuses on innovative teaching strategies through the lens of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) using numbers to engage diverse learners. The main themes include:

1. Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The session emphasizes the importance of addressing the unique needs of every learner, catering to different educational backgrounds, attention spans, interests, language abilities, and cultural contexts 
2. Engagement through Creative Methods: Participants explore how to make data-driven learning more interactive by using visually appealing templates and customizable formats, such as incorporating min-maps, quiz, storyboarding, gamification to cater to diverse audiences. 
3. Interactive Learning Tools: Teachers are encouraged to provide multiple modes of expression, allowing students to present their learning in various ways, such as writing, audio explanations, digital stories, and quizzes. 
4. Hands-on Activities: The sessions involve practical activities where educators can create simple yet effective lessons using conditional formatting, drawing tools, and custom worksheets to engage learners at all levels. A practical session invites participants to create numbers-based activities for teaching history. 

The session aims to develop future training sessions that integrate UDL with creative engagement techniques to empower educators in fostering diverse learning environments.
